Half-Time Dump Cake

 

Ingredients:

 

• 2 cans (21 oz each) Duncan Hines Comstock Cherry Pie Filling (or team color of choice)

 

• 1 can (20 oz) Dole Crushed Pineapple (undrained)

 

• 1 box Duncan Hines Classic Yellow Cake Mix

 

• 1.5 sticks Land O Lakes Butter (cut into thin slices)

 

• 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip (for serving)

 

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Dump the cherry pie filling and the undrained Dole crushed pineapple into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish, spreading evenly.

 

2. Sprinkle the dry Duncan Hines yellow cake mix directly over the top of the fruit layer—do not mix.

 

3. Arrange the thin slices of Land O Lakes butter evenly across the entire surface of the dry cake mix.

 

4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm in bowls topped with a generous dollop of Cool Whip.
